Executive Summary

Hollerose is known for its timeless pieces, created predominantly by local artisans and tailors. It was founded in 2010 and officially launched its first collection in 2012. Hollerose has been featured in many local and international publications such as Harpers Bazaar UK, Vogue Italia, Bella Naija, Today’s Woman and many more. The brand is situated in Victoria Island, the heart of the business district of Nigeria’s economic capital and Africa’s most populous city, Lagos. It boasts an array of high-profile clients made up of socialites, business moguls and executives as well as a growing and vibrant customer base of corporate professionals and young entrepreneurs. SUSTAINABILITY As a brand, we are aware of the role we play towards impacting, positively, the world around us. Either directly by our operations or simply our corporate responsibility to the community. We firmly believe in the possibility of creating beautiful garments while improving the lives of those within the communities we operate in and preserving the environment around us. EMPOWERING WOMEN In Nigeria, tailors are amongst one of the highest paid artisans because made-to-measure garments are in such high demand locally. Given the potential for improved revenue for this group of artisans, we prioritize working more with women as our own way of contributing our quota to women empowerment schemes. We also teach women who desire to work in the fashion industry for free as a form of internship, helping them build valuable skills to become self-sustained as they grapple with the high unemployment rate in Nigeria. With regards to wholesale manufacturing, we ensure that our partner factories share our values, especially in empowering women and pursuing sustainable environmental causes. PROTECTING THE ENVIROMENT To curb waste, we have practiced made-to-order or bespoke for couture pieces and this has been very popular locally. We make samples, market them and create for clients based on demand. Our passion for recycling has allowed us to pursue environmentally friendly opportunities like using pieces of leftover fabrics to make fashionable accessories like slippers, wallets etc We also have an alterations arm that helps mend damaged garments or convert them into more stylish pieces for our clients. This is better than throwing away the garment. PRIORTIZING NATURAL FIBRES We have gradually weaned our entire production off chemically made fabrics like polyester and nylon, and have incorporated more natural options such as cotton, silk, rayon etc. This has been done even while contending with existential challenges like local price resistance. However, with our commitment to global growth and expansion, we have improved significantly our reliance on natural fabrics sourced predominantly locally. INFUSING LOCAL CRAFTMANSHIP. Nigeria, and the larger Africa, is filled with vast cultural inferences and techniques for fabric design and garment construction. We are committed, going forward, to telling the African story through the clothes we showcase to the world. We truly believe that it is possible to interpret our culture in a modern, elegant and sophisticated manner. We are seeking $200,000 and we will prefer it in the form of 10% equity Oseluese Okpamen: CEO/creative director Ejiro Ukueku: Legal Emmanuel Egbelefiyo: Digital marketing Ehis Okpamen: Finance Thomas Okpamen: Chairman We have worked out of pocket for 8 years and as such growth has been quite slow. We had an influencer push earlier in the year 2020 and in made $2000 in 3 hours and the sales record was limited by our available fabric, machinery and artisans. This is why we seek the funds to expand our local factory and to push using tried and trusted influencers both locally and internationally. Fashion is always a profitable market. Through our website which is our predominant sales channel at this time, we’re able to record 60-70% profit on sales and the bigger our brand grows the better we can price. Using social media influencers as a marketing strategy has ensured that we reach an array of our target market of young, stylish and financially capable women, both locally and internationally, in an instant!! If properly targeted, we can earn millions every month in revenue. We create the fabric design and styles to preserve exclusivity and price accordingly based on market survey and price resistance. This we have tried on our own and it has worked!! We also want to get into stores abroad which has the opportunity to create yet more jobs for the artisans we employ and generate more profit for our investors.
