The leadership team is focused on building a scalable petroleum distribution business while strategically expanding into local manufacturing of engine oils and lubricants, contributing to industrial development and job creation within the region. Founder & Managing Director Shane Govender Shane Govender is the Founder and Managing Director of Vision Petroleum SA. He provides the strategic direction and operational leadership for the company. His key responsibilities include Developing and executing the company’s long-term growth strategy Managing supplier relationships within the petroleum supply chain Leading business development and securing commercial contracts Overseeing financial planning, funding initiatives, and investor relations Driving the company’s expansion into lubricant manufacturing Shane has developed strong insight into the fuel wholesale and lubricants supply market, positioning Vision Petroleum SA to capitalize on the growing demand for petroleum products across transport, logistics, agriculture, and industrial sectors. Under his leadership, the company aims to establish a lubricant manufacturing plant in rural KwaZulu-Natal, which is projected to create approximately 230 direct employment opportunities while strengthening local industrial capacity. Operations Management Vision Petroleum SA’s operations team will oversee the procurement, storage, distribution, and logistics of petroleum products. This includes managing bulk fuel supply, coordinating deliveries to commercial clients, and ensuring operational efficiency across the company’s distribution network. Key operational focus areas include: Fuel procurement and supplier management Fleet logistics and delivery coordination Inventory and supply chain management Compliance with petroleum industry regulations Quality assurance for lubricants and petroleum products Finance and Compliance The financial management function ensures the company operates with strong governance, financial discipline, and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities include: Financial planning and reporting Cost management and profitability analysis Funding and capital structuring Compliance with petroleum industry regulations and tax obligations Oversight of investment and capital expenditure for the planned manufacturing facility Future Leadership Expansion As Vision Petroleum SA grows, the executive team will be expanded to include specialized leadership roles such as: -Chief Operations Officer (COO) -Financial Director (CFO) -Manufacturing Plant Manager -Sales and Commercial Director These roles will support the company’s transition from a petroleum distribution business into a fully integrated lubricant manufacturing and supply company serving both regional and national markets. The business is currently on a small scale but is performing exceptionally well for a new business. we are currently profitable . we are growing at a very slow rate and are currently unable to take on more clients due to cashflow and facilities which are out of our reach.
