Electric Tuk Kenya is a clean-tech start-up dedicated to transforming Kenya’s urban mobility by retrofitting existing petrol and diesel tuk tuks into affordable, efficient electric vehicles. Our mission is to reduce air pollution, lower transport costs, and support Kenya’s transition to sustainable transportation. With over 200,000 tuk tuks operating in the country, our solution offers a scalable, cost-effective alternative to importing new electric vehicles. Our retrofit kits include an electric motor, lithium-ion battery, and controller system, all installed by trained local technicians. We also provide after-sales support, training, and are developing a battery leasing and swapping model to further reduce barriers to adoption.
