usBuilding a software to reduce AOG in aviation

Finding Investors for a Business

AIDB-024513

Executive Summary

PAT is the offline-first aviation maintenance software built in Africa, for Africa. *The Problem*: 80% of African airlines and MROs still use paper, Excel, and WhatsApp to track aircraft defects. Foreign systems like Swiss AMOS cost $2M+ to install, require constant internet, and take 18 months to deploy. The result: AOG downtime costs $30K-$120K per day, NCAA audit failures, and ghost sign-offs. *The Solution*: PAT delivers "1 Tail. 1 Defect. 1 CRS. Offline." In 30 days. Our mobile app works with 0 bars in hangars, generates NCAA-compliant CRS PDFs with GPS + timestamp, and cuts maintenance time by 75%. Setup is $7,000. Pricing is $700/aircraft/month vs $1,500-$3,000 for foreign vendors. *The Market*: 1,200+ commercial aircraft in Africa. 400+ MROs. $850M annual maintenance spend. We start with Nigeria and ECOWAS, where customs delays and poor connectivity make foreign software unusable. *The Model*: Land-and-expand. Pilot on 2 aircraft, prove ROI in 1 AOG saved, then scale to fleet. 10% of revenue funds the PAT Tithe Pool for technician training and STEM scholarships. *The Vision*: Replace paper + prayer with African software. Start in aviation, expand to PAT POS for 40M Nigerian SMEs. We are not competing with AMOS. We are creating the category for African tarmacs. PAT: Built for African Tarmacs. To run 1 airline pilot, finalize PAT V1 offline CRS, and pay 1 aviation advisor. Goal: Deliver 1 NCAA-compliant CRS, prove ROI, and secure first 3 paying aircraft at $700/mo each. I started PAT because I saw a problem. Aircraft were staying on ground longer because of paper work and no internet in hangars. I am not an aviation engineer. I am learning. *What I’m Doing* 1. *Listening*: I spend time with engineers and maintenance staff in PHC to understand how they work today. 2. *Building*: I built the first version of PAT to do one thing: `1 Tail. 1 Defect. 1 CRS offline.` 3. *Testing*: I have permission to run a small test with 1 aircraft to see if PAT can help. *What I Don’t Have Yet* I don’t have co-founders. I don’t have 10 years in aviation. What I am doing about it: I am speaking with certified engineers and people who have worked with NCAA to guide PAT so it meets the right standards. *Why I’m Here* I believe African airlines deserve software that works where they are — with bad network, with limited budget, and with people who need it to be simple. I’m starting small. If PAT helps save time on 1 aircraft, then we can do it for more. $0 to date.* PAT is currently pre-revenue. We have not invoiced any airline yet. We are in the "proof stage" — building V1 and securing permission to run our first 30-day pilot on 1-2 aircraft. Revenue will begin after a successful pilot and signed contract. *Target Revenue Model:* - *$700 / aircraft / month* SaaS subscription - *$7,000 one-time setup* per airline for onboarding + training - *Example*: 3 aircraft = $2,100 MRR. 10 aircraft = $7,000 MRR *2. PROFITABILITY* *Not profitable yet.* As a pre-revenue startup, PAT is not profitable. All current costs are being covered personally by the founder to build the prototype. *Monthly Burn:
