Executive Summary

Executive Summary – Aeronautical Works Aeronautical Works is a South African aviation startup revolutionizing air logistics, mobility, and infrastructure across underserved and remote regions. We operate at the convergence of three high-growth sectors: Drone Delivery, On-Demand Air Charter, and Aviation Energy Infrastructure. Our drone division offers BVLOS delivery and aerial services to mines, rural clinics, and high-risk areas. Through our upcoming AeroLink platform, we’ll enable intelligent drone routing, real-time tracking, and delivery integration. In parallel, our Quick Charter app will allow users to book helicopters and aircraft on demand—providing fast, secure transport for business, tourism, medical, and cargo needs. Our third vertical pioneers smart fuel and electric aircraft charging stations at strategic rural airstrips, solving the infrastructure gap in Africa’s emerging aviation sector. Led by a passionate, youth-driven team, we are on a mission to make aviation more accessible, efficient, and intelligent. We’re raising $15 million in equity funding to launch, scale operations, and dominate this next-generation aviation market. Aeronautical Works isn’t just building aircraft systems—we’re building Africa’s airways of the future. We are seeking $15million in exchange for equity to scale Aeronautical Works’ drone air delivery, air charter, and aviation energy divisions. The investment will fund fleet expansion, app development, infrastructure, and market penetration across Southern Africa. Letlotlo Motlhake – Founder & CEO Letlotlo is a qualified Commercial Pilot, aviation entrepreneur, and visionary leader who founded Aeronautical Works in 2025. His hands-on experience with both manned and unmanned aircraft operations has positioned him at the forefront of integrating drone technology into commercial and mining ecosystems. As a multi-role executive, he currently serves as: • Accountable Manager: Ensuring the company’s regulatory compliance with SACAA and maintaining aviation safety standards. • Flight Operations & Safety Manager: Responsible for all RPAS and air charter flight operations, training, and safety procedures. • Maintenance Manager: Oversees airworthiness of both drones and leased aircraft, including preventative and reactive maintenance schedules. Letlotlo’s unique background spans across mining support, aerial surveying, and logistics integration, allowing him to understand operational needs from the ground up. He is also the driving force behind the AeroLink platform (an integrated digital marketplace for drone and air charter services) and the AeroLink App, set to revolutionize on-demand aircraft access across underserved regions As a start Up key Positions will be available appointed post funding Aeronautical Works is currently a pre-revenue startup with high growth potential across three aviation-driven divisions: Drone, Charter, and Energy. While we are not yet profitable, our financial trajectory is designed for rapid scale and early revenue generation post-investment. Current Financial Status • Revenue: Pre-revenue stage as of July 2025. • Profitability: Not yet profitable; all efforts have been self-funded and directed toward regulatory compliance, market development, and early-stage infrastructure. • Funding to date: Bootstrapped and seeking first external round ($15 million equity raise). Financial Strategy • Early Revenue: Drone services (security, mining, delivery) will begin generating income within months post-funding. • Tech-Enabled Scalability: Proprietary platforms (AeroLink & Quick Charter) will drive B2B and B2C sales. • Recurring Income: Long-term service agreements with mines, government entities, and logistics providers. • Operational Efficiency: Lean, tech-first model to ensure high gross margins as operations scale. Financial Highlights • 24- month runway planned post-funding. • Revenue generation planned to begin within 3–6 months. • Break-even projected by Year 2. • Internal rate of return (IRR) forecasted at >30% by Year 5. Summary Aeronautical Works is a pre-revenue, high-potential aviation startup poised for exponential financial growth across multiple scalable verticals. With the right investment, our operations will quickly transition into a cash-generating, tech-powered aviation company serving underserved and emerging markets. Overview of Market – Aeronautical Works Aeronautical Works operates at the intersection of three transformative markets in Africa: Drone Technology, Air Charter Services, and Aviation Energy Infrastructure. Each segment is positioned for strong growth due to rising demand for connectivity, logistics, and innovation in underserved and remote regions. ⸻ 1. Drone Market in Africa 📦 Drone Delivery & Industrial Applications • Market Size (Africa): Expected to reach $1.4 billion by 2030, growing at 20%+ CAGR. • Drivers: • Rising demand for last-mile delivery in remote areas. • Increased use of drones in mining, agriculture, construction, and surveillance. • Support from government and private sectors for RPAS integration in logistics. • South African Context: • South Africa is one of the first African countries with a clear drone regulatory framework (SACAA Part 101). • Mines and rural health systems are key clients for BVLOS (Beyond Visual Line of Sight) drone delivery. 🛩 Aeronautical Works Opportunity: We are among the first black-youth-led operators aiming to scale BVLOS drone delivery for: • Mining (aerial surveys, equipment delivery) • Emergency response (medical supplies) • E-commerce (packages to rural areas) ⸻ 2. Air Charter Market in Southern Africa ✈ Private and Commercial Charter Services • Market Size (SADC region): Estimated $900 million industry, dominated by a few established operators. • Drivers: • Limited scheduled airline access to rural and mining destinations. • Corporate, tourism, and government demand for time-sensitive travel. • Rising interest in chartered flights post-COVID due to flexibility and safety. 🛩 Aeronautical Works Opportunity: Through our digital booking platform Quick Charter, we will: • Offer on-demand flights to remote airfields, mines, and lodges. • Serve business executives, tourists, and medical evacuation needs. • Integrate helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft in a smart, Uber-style ecosystem. ⸻ 3. Aviation Energy Market 🔌 Fueling & Charging Infrastructure • Emerging Segment with minimal competition in rural areas. • Global Trend: Shift toward sustainable aviation fuels and electric aircraft (SAF & eVTOL adoption). • Africa’s Challenge: Inadequate fueling and charging infrastructure outside major cities. ⚡ Aeronautical Works Opportunity: We aim to pioneer smart aviation fuel stations and electric aircraft charging points at small and rural airstrips: • Use data-driven AI to manage fuel logistics. • Partner with renewable energy companies. • Enable the adoption of green aviation in Africa. ⸻ 4. Target Clients • Mining companies: Aerial inspections, drone deliveries, and air support. • Government & public sector: Emergency logistics, surveillance, disaster relief. • Tourism operators: Charter flights to remote lodges and parks. • Corporates & HNWIs: Time-sensitive charter and private travel. • Logistics & e-commerce firms: Last-mile delivery via drone. • Airfield operators: Fuel infrastructure partnerships. ⸻ 5. Competitive Landscape While a few players exist in each vertical, none are bundling these services into a unified aviation ecosystem like Aeronautical Works: • Drone Ops: Zipline (in Rwanda), Wingcopter (test phases in SA). • Charter: ExecuJet, NAC – focused on high-end markets. • Fuel Infrastructure: Dominated by major oil players, absent in remote airfields. We are building a vertically integrated aviation solution designed for underserved markets, backed by technology, compliance, and a youth-driven vision. ⸻ 6. Regulatory and Compliance • We are in the process of securing a full ROC (Remote Operator Certificate) under SACAA Part 101 and Part 135 approvals. • Our operations are designed around full compliance and safety, unlocking access to high-value commercial and government contracts. ⸻ Summary The market for drone logistics, on-demand air travel, and aviation infrastructure in Africa is large, fragmented, and underserved—especially in rural and industrial zones. Aeronautical Works is strategically positioned to lead the next wave of aviation innovation through affordable, scalable, and compliant services that unlock access and efficiency in hard-to-reach places.
