CEO Designate | Utility-Scale Renewable Energy | IPP Development. I serve as CEO Designate of Lumombwe Energy Zambia Limited (LEZL), leading the development of a 150 MW utility-scale solar project in Zambia. The initial project will be developed through potential target partner, a reputable international solar developer with proven Engineering, Procurement, Construction (EPC) experience, technical expertise and operational capacity under a Private-(Build-Operate-Transfer) Private-Private Partnership Model to be supported by long-term contracted revenues through Power Purchase Agreements and supplemented by opportunities for commercial and regional power sales. My role focuses on identifying financing models, investment frameworks and strategic partnerships to enhance project bankability and promote Zambia’s renewable energy transition.
Company Overview
Lumombwe Energy Zambia Limited (LEZL) is developing a 150 MW utility-scale solar power project in Masaiti District, Copperbelt Province, Zambia. The project is structured under a PBOT model with an estimated capital requirement of USD 150 million. Power will be supplied primarily to ZESCO under a long-term PPA. Once operational, the project will generate approximately 328,500 MWh per year, deliver stable revenues, with a debt tenor of 8 to12 years. LEZL is seeking strategic partners, EPC contractors to advance this high-impact renewable energy opportunity.
