Kitui Multi Processors Ltd (KMPL) is a diversified agro-processing company located at Musengo Market in Kitui County, lower Eastern, Kenya. The company is incorporated under the Kenyan laws with the primary undertaking of Agro-Processing. KMPL works with farmers in Kitui County in Post-harvest value addition on selected produce. The focus of the company lies in facilitating sustained improvement in order to foster the livelihood and wellbeing of the county’s population. This, in line with the company’s mission, will be achieved through involvement in the implementation of interventions that are targeted at directly improving the livelihoods of the people of Kitui County. Mission and vision: The mission and vision of KMPL is to identify and develop high growth sustainable enterprises that will realize the socioeconomic potential of Kitui County through the provision of value added services and market to farmers. The company’s value proposition is: Its understanding of agribusiness entrepreneurs and business growth. Its capacity to identify and support products with high growth potential in priority value chains. Its ability to tailor and provide relevant affective agribusiness growth services to farmers; Its ability to help grow smallholder farmer enterprises and contribute to socioeconomic development of Lower Eastern Counties. Management :The Kitui Multi Processors Limited Board consists of the Chairman, who has non-executive responsibilities, four executive Directors and two non-executive directors. The Board meets quarterly and is responsible for establishing the corporate governance pillars, setting the strategic direction, reviewing business performance and supervision of the management of Kitui Multi Processors Limited operations. The four directors actively manage the company’s day-to-day activities. All professional staff have been involved in developmental programs as practitioners for many years, focusing on all key aspects of economic development and poverty reduction. In addition to the full time staff, KMPL has an experienced network of highly qualified associates from all major development disciplines and are called upon when and as required.
