The Companies and Their Projects METROFLEX Gym Srl-SSD METROFLEX Gym Srl-SSD is an established sports and fitness company that has been operating for approximately five years in L’Aquila, in the Abruzzo region of Italy. The facility was created to provide a professional, accessible and inclusive environment dedicated to training, health and personal well-being. METROFLEX is a 24-hour gym featuring a large strength-training area and professional equipment. It offers open gym access, personalised workout programmes, coaching, personal training and support tailored to the different needs of its members. Over the years, METROFLEX has become much more than a traditional gym. It is a place for social connection and personal development, where sport is used to promote discipline, confidence, respect and inclusion. Its identity is also based on a strong social message focused on opposing bullying, violence and every form of discrimination. The experience gained through METROFLEX provides the practical foundation from which the Darkland and Iron Bay projects have been developed. Darkland Srl Darkland Srl was created to develop a new model of centres dedicated to sport, health and the overall well-being of each individual, to be established in African territories as well. The project involves creating modern, multidisciplinary facilities capable of bringing together sports, healthcare, rehabilitation and wellness services that are normally provided separately. Darkland centres will include: * modern and fully equipped gyms; * padel and basketball courts; * physiotherapy and rehabilitation services; * nutrition and dietetics; * psychological support, including assistance with eating disorders; * health prevention and education services; * personalised training, recovery and wellness programmes; * spaces dedicated to inclusion, social interaction and personal development. Darkland will serve people of all ages, including young people, adults, families, athletes, vulnerable individuals and anyone seeking to improve their physical and psychological well-being. Developing Darkland centres in Africa will also create new employment opportunities, train local professionals, improve access to sports and health-related services and adapt each facility to the real needs of the territory and community in which it is established. Iron Bay LDA Iron Bay LDA is the company through which the Iron Bay project is being developed in Boa Vista, Cabo Verde. The project involves acquiring and redeveloping an existing hospitality property, transforming it into an international destination that combines hospitality, tourism, sport, health and wellness. Iron Bay will not be a traditional resort, but a complete ecosystem. The project will combine high-quality accommodation and tourism services with Darkland gyms, sports activities, wellness programmes, nutritional services and initiatives dedicated to prevention, health and physical and psychological recovery. Iron Bay will also aim to: * create new employment opportunities; * train and promote local professionals; * involve local businesses and suppliers; * contribute to the economic and tourism development of Boa Vista; * adopt sustainable and environmentally responsible solutions; * generate tangible and lasting benefits for the local community. Iron Bay represents the international application of the model developed through the METROFLEX experience and the Darkland project, integrating it with the tourism and hospitality sectors. A Third Project for Boa Vista Alongside Darkland and Iron Bay, a third project is being developed to address the shortage of water and electricity in Boa Vista in a practical and effective way. The objective is to implement a sustainable, efficient and long-term solution capable of increasing water and energy availability and responding to the needs of the island’s residents, businesses and tourism facilities. The project will not be designed exclusively to meet Iron Bay’s requirements. It will be intended to generate a broader benefit for the territory and support the future growth of Boa Vista. This will be an independent initiative that complements the other projects. Should there be an interest, it can be presented separately, including the proposed solutions, the implementation model and potential investment and partnership opportunities. A Shared Vision METROFLEX, Darkland and Iron Bay share one vision: to use sport, health, wellness and hospitality to create projects that genuinely improve people’s lives and contribute to the development of local communities. METROFLEX represents the operational experience and starting model. Darkland expands this vision through the creation of multidisciplinary centres to be developed in African territories as well. Iron Bay integrates the same model into a major international tourism and hospitality project. The third project completes this strategy by addressing two essential requirements for Boa Vista: water availability and a reliable energy supply. The common objective is to create useful, inclusive and sustainable projects capable of generating employment, improving services, supporting local communities and delivering tangible, long-term benefits.
