Biography

The Director of the Ghana Permaculture Institute (GPI) provides overall leadership, strategic direction, and supervision of the organisation’s activities. The Director is responsible for ensuring that GPI’s vision, mission, and objectives are effectively achieved through the proper coordination of its programmes, projects, staff, partnerships, and operations. The role involves identifying and pursuing new projects, funding opportunities, and partnerships that support the growth and sustainability of the Institute. The Director also develops and reviews project proposals, engages with donors and stakeholders, and builds relationships with organisations that share GPI’s goals.

Ghana Permaculture Institute is a registered non-profit organization committed to promoting sustainable agriculture, environmental conservation, climate resilience, and community empowerment through permaculture education, practical demonstrations, and livelihood development programmes across Ghana. Over the years, the Institute has collaborated with various local and international organizations to implement projects that improve food security, environmental sustainability, women's economic empowerment, youth employment, and vocational skills development. Our work includes training in Permaculture Design Courses, Mushroom production, Vegetable cultivation, Moringa production and processing, beekeeping, agroforestry, climate-smart agriculture, and Cosmetics production.
