Executive Summary
Swipenjo Agro Allied Farms is a Nigeria-based agribusiness developing a sustainable oil palm production, processing and traceability platform in Ogun State. The company currently operates an established 60-acre elite hybrid oil palm plantation and is seeking investment to optimise production, expand toward a directly managed 300-hectare Phase 1 platform, develop modular processing capacity, strengthen ESG traceability and scale local value addition. Swipenjo’s model combines fresh fruit bunch production, crude palm oil, palm kernel oil, palm kernel cake, packaging, digital farm records, GPS mapping and structured market access. The business addresses Nigeria’s palm oil supply gap, weak processing capacity, post-harvest losses and limited traceability while creating rural jobs, supporting youth and women participation, and improving food-system resilience. Swipenjo seeks US$3m–US$5m in equity, debt, grants, guarantees or blended finance to expand from 60 acres to 300ha, add modular processing, machinery, storage, working capital and GPS-based ESG traceability. Swipenjo is led by Dr. Joseph Okpono, Founder and Managing Director, with over 17 years of technical, project and data-driven experience across geoscience, energy, sustainability, financial technology, ESG analysis and agribusiness development. He holds a PhD in Geophysics, an MBA with Distinction, and an MSc in Financial Technology, with strong experience in project management, data analytics, financial modelling, ESG strategy and investor-readiness documentation. The second director, Isoken Okpono, brings experience in business analysis, operations, financial administration, community engagement, customer service, care support and organisational coordination. She holds an MSc in Business Analysis and Consulting and a BSc in Economics and Statistics. The wider operating model includes field workers, farm operations support and external advisers for agronomy, legal, survey/GIS, finance, ESG, processing and equipment support. Swipenjo is an early-revenue agribusiness with an established producing plantation. Reported income increased from approximately ₦403,600 in 2024 to ₦3.52 million in 2025, reflecting early production growth from the existing oil palm asset. The company is not yet at full commercial scale because the plantation is still maturing and processing capacity remains limited. Current projections are conservative and assume phased growth through yield optimisation, improved harvesting, modular processing, better storage, packaging and structured buyer relationships. The investment is expected to move the company from early farm revenue into a scalable production and processing model with stronger margins from crude palm oil, palm kernel oil, palm kernel cake and packaged products. Nigeria has strong demand for palm oil and palm kernel products across food processing, household consumption, restaurants, wholesalers, soap and detergent manufacturers, cosmetics producers and animal-feed markets. However, the local value chain faces low productivity, fragmented production, weak mechanization, processing bottlenecks, post-harvest losses, inconsistent quality and limited traceability. These gaps create an opportunity for scalable, responsibly managed producers that can combine plantation development, modular processing, quality control, packaging and digital traceability. Swipenjo is positioned to serve domestic and regional buyers while building ESG-ready systems for future higher-value structured markets.
