A resilient rural Ugandan farm where people and the environment thrive. Kuku farms are registered with the registrar of companies in Uganda, Uganda National Registration Bureau, Uganda Revenue Authority, Uganda Posta Office. Our products and Services: crops, livestock, value-added pastures, farming methods. Future Plans: To have an on-farm milk processing plant and agrotourism centre. We currently have 50 acres of land, forage equipment, and human capital. Our team has experience of over 7 years in livestock. We are affected by the limited water coverage and change in seasons. Our farm products and biproducts are consumed by the surrounding community. If we upgrade our pasture and water system and keep the cows on a zero-grazing system. The products will be more thus moving the nearby towns. Competitive Advantage: Our organic products out compete other farmers. Funding Needs: If the funds available we shall put up a water system tour which can supply most part of the farm, increase on the existing pasture fields. Funding Sources: We are looking for a grant. Projected Profitability: With the steady water system and increased pastures, we expect to double the returns of the farm If the funds are availed to us and invested, farming is still untapped business in Uganda that one can realise profits. This shall not only benefit the farm only but all the surrounding community The funding shall cover two projects. The installation and construction of the water system tour which shall supply the farm and the surrounding community since they are already benefits from the existing and the pasture expansion. We have the chloris gayana fields that we intend to expend The management team is headed by the section managers with over 10 years’ experience and very passionate about farming. The manager is an experienced person with a long life with livestock and over 10 years of full-time experience who have transformed and reshaped the farm. Most of the staff have grown in families that have owned or kept livestock making them an added advantage and exposure. They have gained experience in silage and hay making/preparation techniques. Kuku Farms is located in Kikyusa Town Council, Luwero District, Central Region in Uganda. Our products are mix of crops like maize, coffee, and bananas, as well as livestock including poultry, pigs, cattle, goats, pigs, and sheep We are using the ecosystem approach, for example, using animal manure for fertilizer or milk to wean kids and piglets. Our organic products are what makes the farm stand out, the taste of the farm products keeps inviting the consumers. Our primary customers include local residents, retailers, restaurants Apparently, our products/service area, such as a 20-kilometers radius from the farm. We will keep providing fresh produce to the community The farm will be profitable. There shall be an increase net worth and revenue. The farm plans to become self-sustaining through product sells. The farm's future goals are expanding its offerings and increasing its carrying capacity. To promote sustainable agricultural practices, strengthen markets and protect the environment in rural Uganda. Expertise and insightful evidence-based solutions are at the heart of everything Farm Africa does. Apparently the farm is in the right direction and sounding and if financed it shall double the profits The market is still large for all the farm products right from the community residents, restaurants, schools
