Executive Summary

We have an innovation business in Small and Medium Sized Enterprises Funds which is all about ‘‘Women Livelihoods, Labour Employability and Market Development Business’’. We have created groups of rural women farmers who is governed with our organization in one platform, Together with all groups we have a shared busness model whereby each member in each group with not less than 80 members contributes four local laying chicks and in each farming site the organization contribute 240 local laying chicks and 40 cooks for fertilization as well as to build farming site infrastructure for three groups whereby birds from both three groups are keeped in one site to make 560 of chicken in one site . One farming site can produce 39,000 eggs per month, whereby 3,000 up to 5,000 eggs are selected for cooks growing. And 1 egg currently costs $0.18 while matured cook costs 9.17 in local markests. So one site can earning $5,400 per month from eggs product and the grown cooks from the first month of production can results into the earnings of $27,510 after 12-16 months and the process is repeated annualy in particular of increasing of groups and birds. And we planned to start with at least 1,000 farming sites, which will have an estimation income output of $5,400,000 per month from egg products and $27,510,000 after each 12-16 months from cooks products. This is project which is designed to addressing women economic challenges by connecting 4.5 million smallholder backyard poultry women and girls youth farmers from three countries (Tanzania, Burundi and Rwanda) in one platform to access a premium market and increases their livelihoods by 2030. This innovation involves the platform setup by developing a web-based platform for poultry market linkage with more focus on its usability and user experience design. The platform will provide AI Brochure Service, which will focus on spreading and branding rural poultry production information all over their country and outside of their country. The innovation aims to empower our Mama Sokoneka (A cleave women in markets) farmers groups to produce good quality production like, backyard rearing of desi/ native chickens and rearing of new chicken breeds evolved for poultry production by rural households. And it planned also to evolve digital AI-powered sub-platform and the adoption of Internet of Things (IoT) for farmers to detect diseases in chickens with their Smartphone instantly in order of to develop agri-business entrepreneurship capacity through poultry farming for sustainable income generation and enterprise development in East Africa. This is because backyard or homestead poultry farming is common among rural and landless families in East Africa and is a lucrative source of supplementary.
