Meagan ViljoenBiography
As Founder and Managing Director of Kindle Kitchen, I am responsible for the overall vision, strategy and execution of the business. I lead the development of the platform, ensure the business remains vendor-first and commercially sustainable, and guide the company’s growth from early launch to scale. My role includes setting strategic direction, building partnerships, overseeing brand and marketing strategy, and driving investor and funder engagement. I am closely involved in vendor onboarding and community development to ensure the platform meets the real needs of small food businesses, particularly women- and youth-led enterprises. I also oversee operations and compliance positioning, ensuring that Kindle Kitchen operates responsibly within regulatory frameworks while remaining accessible to informal food vendors. As the business scales, my role includes building and managing a multidisciplinary team, establishing systems and processes, and ensuring long-term sustainability, impact and profitability.
