I am the Managing Partner of Village Capital Finance P/L. I have over 17 years’ experience in the financial services sector having worked for a number of financial institutions such as Agribank, Genesis Investment Bank, TN Bank which became Steward Bank and GetBucks Microfinance Bank. A microfinance expert from Frankfurt School of Management, I have experience in both front and back-office management and has been instrumental in setting up the checks and balances at Village Capital. I am a holder of an Msc degree in Strategic Management from CUT and a Bsc degree in Statistics from the University of Zimbabwe. He has attended several courses in credit management, debt recovery, marketing and international trade. I lead the development of the company's short- and long-term strategy, create and implement company's vision and mission and making sure that sales targets are met.
Company Overview
Village Capital Finance Private Limited (VCAP) was incorporated as a credit only microfinance institution in December 2019 under the laws of the Republic of Zimbabwe. It is licensed accordingly by the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe (RBZ) under licence number 000811. The company’s head office is located in the capital, Harare. The organization was formed with the purpose of providing social and financial solutions to the unbanked and marginalised. The company aims at advancing the Financial Inclusion Agenda set by the Government. The company was formed with the aim of filling the gap left by traditional financial institutions who are not serving the youth and the marginalised because of lack of acceptable collateral. It was formed to reduce poverty, raise incomes and improve the livelihoods of youths, women and the marginalised with limited opportunities. Ultimately, VCAP aims at creating a more conducive institutional environment for the unbanked and to improve sustainable and affordable access by target groups to financial services that are well adapted to their needs
