I am the founder and lead technician at Nyamgondho Marine Works, responsible for technical design, vessel construction oversight, and operational strategy. My role covers boat design and assembly (fiberglass and aluminum), supplier coordination, quality control, and customer engagement. I also lead business development by identifying commercial marine needs on Lake Victoria and the Kenyan coast—including passenger transport, fishing support vessels, and utility pontoons—and translating these needs into cost-effective, durable boat solutions. In addition, I oversee partnerships, pilot projects, and financing models such as lease-to-own to enable fleet expansion for local operators. My focus is on building a scalable marine manufacturing and services company that supports the blue economy while generating sustainable cash flow.

Nyamgondho Marine Works is a Kenya-based marine manufacturing and boatworks startup focused on designing and building affordable, durable boats for inland waters, with initial operations targeting Lake Victoria. The company specializes in pontoon boats, small commercial vessels, and utility craft for passenger transport, fishing support, tourism, and logistics. Our value proposition is localized boat production using modular construction and partially knocked-down (SKD) assembly to reduce costs, shorten delivery times, and improve maintenance accessibility. We address a growing demand for safe, reliable vessels driven by population growth, trade, tourism, and the blue economy around Lake Victoria. Nyamgondho Marine Works aims to scale through fleet sales, lease-to-own commercial vessels, and long-term service and maintenance contracts. Angel investment will support tooling, materials, pilot fleet construction, and working capital to validate demand and accelerate revenue generation.
